Raju! Hickey's eyes brighten a bit as he nods. "Raju's good. Too much of a goody-two-shoes for his own good, but a good bloke to begin with."

He met the man during that business with the abandoned house that, due to the haunting of a few ghost children, suddenly became not abandoned. Hickey attempted to get them the hell out of there. Raju stayed to help the kids.

"Wouldn't mind talking to him in a less...tense situation."

Less tense, huh. At least Billy doesn't really need to ask about what kind of tense situation that was, considering tense situations really aren't all that rare here. There's been enough over the past two months already.

So rather than asking about that, he just slightly dryly points out: "You would call anyone a goody-two-shoes."

Well, maybe Billy would be the exception to that, but that's exactly part of why they're together in the first place, isn't it.

"That's because most people are," Hickey responds, with a cavalier little shrug, absolutely not seeing that the problem isn't that everyone else are pushovers, it's because Hickey's own morals are a little fucked.

There's a moment before he stands up. He wipes his hands on his trousers before deciding, "I'm done here for the day. Let's go home."

After all, he hasn't seen Billy all day today. Might as well stop thinking about this mystery and spend some time with his husband.
